Ok, I went to see Mom and Dad today. I laughed because I told Judy did she want the good news or bad news first! LOL! The bad news: I was there for nearly an hour and a half and Mom never made sense one time! She even had on someone else's pants! At the least I'd never seen them before. Unless Pat or Pam took her some others, these were not hers! LOL! Oh, well! She was SO clean. She'd had a bath + her hair washed and dried! The one thing she did say that made any sense at all was that she was going to have to get rid of a bunch of this stuff. I just don't want or need it, she said! How ironic! Anyway, I cracked up once when she was telling me something about something she was going to do, etc---who knows. Anyway, this other lady coughed real big. Well, right in the middle of Mom saying that she had to do something with something outside, etc, she yells "SHUT UP" real loud at this lady that coughed. I cracked up inside. She also asked where's James. I said right behind you. Dad goes---I didn't know she was here! I'm like Dad, she was talking about you. OH, he goes and looks real funny! Neither of them were with it today! Dad told me they were fixing to check out because they'd just eaten. His speech was real garbled today, too. Anyway, he had on Mom's sweatshirt! LOL! He was really clean, but they were just not with it today! The good news: I asked about the bigger room again. Michael Smith (the administrator) said it would be the middle of this month----two weeks out. I told him it was already the 9th and the middle was coming fast! LOL! Anyway, they'll let us know when because they want us to help with the move! NO problem! I also asked about the rate they were charging Mom and Dad. He'd told Pat and I it would be $125 per day per person. Well, the bill was for $130 per day per person. This doesn't sound like a big deal, but that amounts to about $300 per month for the two of them x 7 months which would have equalled $2100 that we had not planned for in the financial part of this whole thing. Anyway, he went back in the computer and corrected the amount for Feb and Mar. They now each have a credit of $260 each on April's bill. That's good! I asked him about when to start the applications for Medicaid for them----told him the plan was about 2 months before the end of the seven months. He said that some of their patients wait 5 months before being approved for Medicaid! YIKES! I may talk to Chad 3 months before the end of the seven months penalty period. I did find out that they don't kick them out while waiting for Medicaid approval, too, because he was saying that they'd been carrying that amount forward each month for that resident waiting for the approval! Anyway, that's it Dude! LOL! Love you all, Jeanie
