Dad's hand is fine. When I went today, I really couldn't see anything but a little dried blood! Have seen MUCH worse MANY times on him! Mom's leg?---who knows! Today, I had her walk some. She's scared to death to do it! After we got started she did good, but didn't want to turn loose of anything! They both looked SOOOO good today! Yea! To me, it's the best they've been in nearly two weeks. All last week I did not think Dad looked good! Today, he looked good, acted good, the whole thing. They did cut Mom's hair. It's not quite like she used to wear it, but it's much better. I stopped and talked to the lady who cut it and told her it was much better. The next time I told her to put some layers in it to give it some style. They were eating/finishing up lunch when I got there. Dad was at the far end of the hall looking for Mom, but when I asked where she was he told me she was in the cafeteria. They were not in the feeding room today, which I liked!. Anyway, Dad's shoes were nasty, so I took him some others and have brought the ones he was wearing home to wash. I'll send them back with Pat this weekend because I'm heading to Louisville tomorrow! YEA! Anyway, it was a really good visit! I am SO glad! Jamie, what you're going to have to do is look past the nursing home environment and at Mom and Dad. It's probably going to be a shock, but today neither asked about leaving, their stuff, nothing. In fact Mom told me to come back again, etc, just like they were home. I knew it was time to leave because Mom started talking kind of goofy---I said I think you need a nap! LOL! She did, too. It was a good day and a good visit with both of them! I needed that!!!!! Love you all, Jeanie

  1. I'm glad they both were better. I know when I see them for the first time I'll be shocked.
