Judy and I went to see Mom and Dad today. Dad FINALLY looked better to me. He wasn't quite as hoarse, and there was some light in his eyes! He was sleeping when we got there--in his wheelchair (as was Mom!). He'd finished breakfast and was tired, I guess. His neck was better and he was just better in general. Mom was in a wheelchair, too, and acted like Mom does now. The only thing that was not good about Mom today was the fact that she couldn't walk! I swear if we hadn't been there she would have fallen trying to go to the bathroom! When we left, we talked to one of the girls and asked about Dad's walker for Mom and for them to check on her. We talked to the social director about Dad a 'friend', and she said that they'd tried, but that Dad didn't want to be away from Mom. She'd continue to try. We talked to Becky the head nurse about Mom's inability to walk today and her need for a walker and extra help. She said she'd do that. She also said something about an MRI on Mom's leg. I think I'm passing on that. I figure Judy's right about the arthritis and who knows in general what Mom's feeling, doing, etc. The fact she's not walking will only lead to further not walking which won't help her leg in general! Anyway, all in all they were better today!!!! YEA! Love you all, Jeanie
