I went to see mom and dad today and they were fine. Both of them were very clean and they seemed as always. Dad was talking about whether to join some club and he didn't know what he should do. I asked him if he'd had his tobacco and he said they told him there wasn't any. So, I asked and yes, there was still quite a bit and they would see that he got it after lunch. Mom was very calm and said she hadn't been "home" all day. I told her after she ate she could take a nap. Anyway, they seemed fine. Last weekend one of the girls told me that Mother talks about her "girls" all the time especially Jamie (go figure, little spoiled one! hee! hee!) I told her that Jamie was going to be here next month and she said Mother and Daddy would be so excited. All in all, a nice visit. Jeanie said yesterday that the big room they were going to be moving into was empty, so I'm hoping that means they'll move soon as in maybe this weekend or the first of next week. Love you all, Pat

  1. Pat, what did you say when Mom said she hadn't been home all day? Is that when you used the distraction method and talked about taking a nap? :) Good one! Did she seem down when she said that or was it more matter of fact? Did Dad hear her say that? DId he say anything? I hope they don't start asking/worrying about home. That's gonna really suck! Love you, Jamie

  2. Jamie, she just said she hadn't been home all day like she'd been gone. I'm assuming she meant that she hadn't been in her room all day. It wasn't like she wanted to go home. If Dad heard her, he didn't say anything. Even when she was at home, she would say things like that so I don't think it was any big deal. I'm sure there are going to be times when one of them will mention something about home, but we're just going to have to divert their attention I guess. It is very hard, but it is the only choice. love you, pat
