Another quick post! Angie from LNC just called to tell me that Dr. Parten had put Dad on Tetra (I hope that's right for what she said! YIKES!)for a kidney infection. We had talked about it when I went to see them. Dad's urine is really strong. Anyway, they tested it and he does have an infection, so they're starting him on the med. Ok, I'm going to check on them tomorrow. Will write then. Love you all, Jeanie

  1. Poor Dad!!!!! You all have done such a good job with Mom and Dad. It's always comforting to read the notes all of you that live close post. I'll be glad to see them...even though Mom won't know me. Randall talked to Bob Herring (Brother in law) yesterday when he called to wish his sister happy birthday, about life insurance for Missouri retired teachers and he said several years ago they put a $5,000 one on each teacher. He said that he had one on him and couldn't think of any reason why Dad didn't receive, too. He was going to send us a number that we could call to check on it. I sent a message sort of like this last night from the ranch, but it wasn't posfted on there this morning so I'm trying again...so you may be reading this twice:)

  2. You know I saw something about a life insurance thing related to MSTA retirement. It said something about decreasing value until zeroed out. Hang onto that number and we'll definitely check. You may be surprised when you see them. They have good days and bad days with the memory. Thanks for the kind words. See you soon, Love, Jeanie
