I'm Back! LNC did call Bruce Fri night to tell him that they'd found Mom sitting by her chair. No injury, but they had to report. I also checked my answering machine when I got back, and there was a message that undoubtly came at some point from Sat morning until this afternoon. It said that Dad had tried to get out of bed (makes me think during the night) and that he got wedged between the rail and the bed. No injury, just some redness. I went by there today on my way home---it was about 3. Anyway, they were both sound asleep with the lights out and the covers pulled up. A man that works there was coming down the hall when I was coming out of their room. He asked me if they were asleep. Yes. I asked him how they were today. He stopped, turned around and said, "They've been really good today!" YEA! I didn't wake them up---just left. As for the tobacco, Pat and I both have told Dad SEVERAL times that all he has to do is ask! Hopefully, he'll get that down! I think they look good, act good, and are adjusting! That all makes me happy. I know Judy didn't feel about their house like I did when we went to get Dad some shoes (which we FORGOT! LOL!), but to me that house seems awful! I can't believe that they were living there! I listened to a long program on Sirus (sp?) radio about caring for the elderly. It was so good! One of the things that they were talking about was guilt. It's a NO! It is a tough decision, but I look at it like tough love. Sometimes it hurts to do the right thing for the right reason. This was the right thing for them-that's the important thing. For us, we'd rather it was different, but for their care and well-being it's the right move! Love you all, Jeanie
