We went to LNC this morning. Nikki said they got the results back from Dad and he does have a UTI and they were starting his medicine at noon. When we got there, they were both in the big room. Dad actually looked really good. I couldn't understand a lot of what he was talking about. He said, "Jamie's supposed to be here today." I told him no, but she would be here before long. I told him Judy was coming tomorrow and he said okay. Mother, on the other hand, is just so pitiful. They have her hair cut really short! She was in a total other world. She was grinding her teeth and every now and then would make a sound. She never really opened her eyes. Nikki said that her skin tears were all healed and she was stopping the medication for them. She said about the time they get them cleared up she gets another one. They still have her wearing the arm protectors and there are orders to be very careful with her.
I was thinking today about Easters at home when we were growing up. We always had a new dress and shoes. The Easter I remember most was the one where Pam and I got to wear hose and we had shoes with little heels. We sure felt grown up! Easter was always an important day for us and I'm thankful that I have those memories. We had a great home for sure! We are all very fortunate to have had great childhoods!
