Jeanie, so stoked about your quilt!! Good job!! In cleaning stuff out of my craft box, I found my second hooked rug that I had started along with the strips that Mom had cut for me...I'm going to attempt to finish it...funny, mine just look so amateur compared to Mom's, but I figure practice will make perfect...like quilting! I kind of like the fact that your stitches are uneven or not quite straight...that way you know it was hand done!! A lot of my old quilts are like that and I love it!! Can't wait to see it!!! Jerome loves the house and land...he texted me last night that he's shopping today for ATV/mowers, zero turn mowers and a dirt bike..this has nothing to do with lawn care, strictly fun for Jerome!! I told him he should take some photography classes in school...that is a field where he could combine his love of the outdoors and adventure with his love of photography and possibly have a career!! Of course, the Mom in me thinks that would probably mean he wouldn't stay around Murray and that makes me sad...I know, gotta let em go...we've just been such a unit, the four of us! The mobility of the Army makes you cling to your family... I guess as a civilian, I'll have to loosen my grip...PANIC!! :) I'm off today to have a foam cushion cut for a wicker chair, an antique metal lawn chair repaired where one of my brilliant children tried to stand up on it and put their foot through it, finish painting/antiquing my chair and get supplies to start my next project which is redoing Jerome's big old cabinet in his room. I'm actually going to repair some wood damage outside and paint/stain the inside and the shelves. This will become a TV/storage cabinet for the bedroom upstairs at the new house!! I'm trying to get these projects done before so that they'll be just ready to go when I get there. I know tons of other projects await me once I get to Murray...as I've said before, lots will have been finished on the pond and yard, but not much will have gotten done inside. If I move the rest of my household stuff early, I will fly there for a week and attempt to get the house basically done...I'll keep you posted, because I will make a trip or two to see Mom and Dad then as well. Good recommendation on the piano...I wonder if the nursing home in Murray could use it or maybe the therapy room in the hospital? If a family member wants it, it's theirs, otherwise, I'll see if I can find a good home in Murray!! One word on the ballgame last night...BORING! Worst final game I'm ever watched (I'm serious and it had nothing to do with KY not being in the game!)...it was the lowest scoring NCAA final game since like 1949! Neither team could hit...UConn just wound up hitting a few more than Butler..it was like watching bad high school basketball! Ok..on to baseball and Albert Pujols! Later gators...love you, Jamie
