Ok, I went to see Mom and Dad today. Mom looks good. I don't think Dad does. He was SO tired and so worried/confused today. He looked pale and has dark circles under his eyes. I asked Nikki how he'd been: more confused, more agitated, etc. No nothing she said. I finally asked her IF they'd check him for a UTI for me. She said the last time they wound up having him stand up and use a urinal to get some urine. That's what she wrote down for orders. IF they got a sample this afternoon before supper, then they'll have the preliminary results tomorrow and the culture results in a couple of days. Hopefully it's nothing, but he just doesn't seem right to me. He was SOOOOO tired. I asked him if he wanted to lay down---yes. He was worried about Mom, so I got them to lay her down, too. I sat there until he went to sleep. He'd close his eyes, and I'd think he was asleep. He'd ask me something about what were they going to do tomorrow and how were they going to find their way home, etc. He did this for over 30 minutes before he finally went to sleep. Nikki said his blood sugar was really high at lunch: like around 250. I told her that that would not make him act so confused, etc. Anyway, we'll see. I'll just feel better if they check it and it's fine. I thought about it Mon and so had they. Time to check it. On another note, I really think the earpieces on his glasses are too short: aka Walmart! I'm going to have Judy check them when she comes up. I was going to take them back today, but Dad did NOT want to give them up. I also got a letter today from DHS. They have taken Dad's Medicaid out of suspension as of 4/1/11. No idea what all this translates to! I'll have to call Beth back again tomorrow since she didn't call me today. Ok, I'm off to eat a sandwich. I got to thinking, I've had nothing good for me all day except a handful of grapes! Not good! Love you all, Jeanie
