Dodged the storms and drove to Jonesboro yesterday to go see Mom and Dad today. Dad was sleeping when we first got there and seemed pretty out of it but Jeanie got him some and he came around a bit. Then when I walked up he said "Well, hi Judy", so he knew me at least!Mom of course was sleeping in her wheelchair and never opened her eyes more than half way the whole time. She's pretty pitiful for sure and I didn't like her hair either. It was NOT like this a week ago Jeanie said but now it's cut almost like a man's! Jeanie found out too that they were taking her to the beauty shop and cutting it every week and now it's just too short for my liking! Jeanie didn't like it either and told them Mom didn't need to go to the beauty shop for quite a while! Hopefully it will be back to the "right below the ear" do before Jamie gets here!lol She is a great eater though and her face is really filling out. They were so sweet today and asked if we wanted them to bring their trays to the big common area and we could eat at the table there with them. We did and it was really nice. Jeanie fed Mom and she ate practically everything and Dad fed himself of course most of everything. I got his fork and gave him bites of stuff too and he made the comment that I had stuffed him!lol I kept trying to get Mom to wake up and once she scrunched her shoulders and did that wrinkled nose face. It was adorable. When we left I hugged hrer and said I love you and she said "I love you too" which totally made my day. It was all in all a good visit. I drove home after we survived a Jonesboro tornado today that dropped out of nowhere! It was cloudy, black, gray and then blue skies all the way home and sometimes it was every shape and color of cloud imaginable! I'm sure there were some tornadoes in them but at least I made it home safely! The stars are out here tonight! Just weird is all I got about weather/clouds! Everyone stay tuned for weather changes.
