I'm sorry that you didn't get to try to talk to Dad today, but they are usually ready for a nap when lunch is over. That's the routine: lunch and then nap. There are days that Dad is in bed and asleep before I can finish feeding Mom and get to his room! He is ready, too. It's not just them putting him down---he WANTS to go down for the nap.
