I called Michael Smith today to be sure that the check would have cleared by Thurs--it has to be deducted from Dad's account before the 1st. He said they have a machine like Wal-Mart's---when they run it, it's out of the acct right then. I'll call the bank tomorrow just to be sure! I also gathered all their stuff to turn over to H&R Block and took that down there to them. I kind of hit the panic button for a minute. With Dad's pension, Mom's $1000 from the state of Missouri, both of their social security, interest from Simmons and two checks from GenAmerica---I'm thinking OMG! with the income. Then I added up the money from the nursing home alone and it trumped the income! LOL! I don't think they'll owe any taxes, but they will owe for the doing of the taxes by H&R Block. I didn't get the letter today from DHS about the changing of the dates for Mom from 10/1 to 8/1---when I do I've got to go back to see Chad again. Anyway, it is all coming to some kind of end soon---good, bad or ugly---or in our case all three!!! I'm anxious to hear what Jerome thinks of the house when he sees it! I'm so glad they made it there safely! What an adventure!!!!!!!!!!! St. Louis got snow over the weekend, but I guess it didn't interfere with their travels! Good! Ok, I'm pooped tonight.
