Today is Fri and I went to check on Mom and Dad. So much to report that I hope I don't forget something. I've talked to Judy and told her if I do to feel free to add to this! Mom still has C-dif. They got the results back last night and have sent them to the doc. Debbie figures they'll give her another round of the same med---flajel (sorry I don't know how to spell this--this is the way it sounds! LOL!). They're only giving Mom 25 mg of seroquel (sp?) at night. That is not why she's sleeping so much. Debbie said it may be related to the AD because a lot of them want to sleep a lot. Mom is getting an appetite stimulant. Eating is NOT a problem. She's still in another room. She'd had a bath and looked so clean. She basically slept through lunch except she ate nearly everything! She roused once to give me an evil look and to tell me to quit hitting her! LOL! I was patting on her. There's still some fire there. They have moved her to another spot in the dining room at night---over by the other end of the window----and they said she eats good in that spot! Hey, whatever works! Debbie thinks Dad may have some congestion in his upper right chest. She's ordered an x-ray to check and make sure after the choking incident earlier in the week. Donna came in and talked to me, too, to tell me that she'd gotten some new orders on Dad last night about 11:00. She was suppose to call me, but she said she didn't like doing that that late. Good! Don't! It would scare me to death! Anyway, they've reduced Dad's nighttime dose of insulin to 10. I'm like it was 10. She's like: no it was 20! I'm like you've GOT to be kidding. Dad took 14 in the morning and 10 at night for years! He's been getting 16 in the morning and 20 at night! When did they change it? I have no idea. That's one call I did NOT get! I told her that that's too much for Dad. No wonder he's been having low sugar problems along with all the confusion! Good grief!!!!!!!!! Dad has the swallowing test on Mon and the lady that rides to Jonesboro with them usually, can't go. I'm suppose to be there a little before 8 to ride in the Medic One van with Dad. I'd planned to meet him here in Jonesboro, but they need someone to ride with him. I have no idea how long this will all take on Mon. I'm planning on most of the day, or at the least all morning!!!!!!!!! Another girl asked me while I was on my way out if it was ok to give Dad some nearly new shirts someone had donated. She said they were the type with the collar and buttons like Dad wears. I told her sure. She said she just had to check with Dad's family first before she could do that! Strange, but ok! At lunch Dad ate most of his food. He seems to have no problem with the eating at lunch when I've been there. Dad did know who I was when Donna asked him my name! That was good. He asked me if I'd seem Bruce today. That was good. He asked where Mother was when I was pushing her behind him. That was good. A lot of the other was confusion----he wanted a cigar, he hadn't done something since Gaston did it, they got caught in a big rain, etc. He was worn out and so ready for a nap, too. Anyway, I think that's it. Sorry for the novel---just a lot when on down there today! LOL! Love you all, Jeanie
