Let's see if I can give the full visual here! I was up at 6:30, showered, ate, fed Annie, gave her her shot and drove through the rain to Lake City! I actually called LNC to tell them I was on my way for fear of being left! Got there and Dad is HORRIBLE! He's doing that grouchy mumbling about everyone and nothing---sounds asleep in the big room. Go in and feed Mom---that's a different story---then get in the wheelchair van with the nicest young guy named Jeremy! LOL! He was really nice. He told me that usually they do these tests at the hospital---not the imaging center. He went in to check. Yep! It was to be there. He leaves. We go through the thing of getting the bracelet and the whole bit. Sitting waiting. Called him on his beeper. Sorry, but the test is at St. Bernard's--not here. Then they're short-handed at St. Bernard's. Can't do it today! Not good! She goes back and calls. Comes back and asks if he's eaten, etc. NO. Goes back again. Comes back. It is going to be IN THE MORNING at 9:00! WHY? He has to have a speech therapist present when he does the test + they use a special chair where he'll be strapped in---possible arms, too! HUH!?! Anyway, I was NOT a happy camper. They called Medic One for us. Wait, wait, wait. I get back to LNC and talk to Debbie and Mom and Dad again. Leave there at 11:15! Nothing accomplished! NADA! Anyway, Shannon (at the imaging center) assured me again that the test was no big deal. I asked because I didn't want to end up the hospital tomorrow unprepared for ?????! Dad slept the entire time! I mean, head down slept! He finally started waking up about the time we got back to LNC! I don't know if he's not sleeping, what! Checked his sugar. It was 97 this morning, 150 something before we left and 136 when we got back. Mom was in the dining room when I got there, so I went in to visit/sit with her while I waited for Dad to leave this morning. Her bacon was all over the floor, about 1/2 to 2/3 of her yogurt had been eaten and maybe 1/4 of a biscuit. I sat down and fed her the rest of her yogurt, all her jello, and was working on the biscuit when they told me Dad was ready to leave. I asked the girl in there what had Mom eaten. She came over and said Mom had thrown her bacon on the floor---I said I knew that, but what had she eaten. The girl goes all her yogurt and her jello. I said no. I fed her the entire jello (it hadn't even been opened!) and the rest of the yogurt. So what had she been fed? Well, she said I guess the yogurt and part of her strawberry milk stuff. I told her if she'd get someone to feed Mom that Mom would eat the rest of that one biscuit for sure! I went to push Dad to the front of LNC and came by the dining room on the way there. A girl was sitting there feeding Mom. Good. That's silly. Mom will eat. Trust me, she'll eat anything. You just have to feed her. Anyway, I've called the mobile dental group to complain about the dentures Dad didn't get. LOL! The girl (Jada) was really nice and was like I don't understand this. She said that the bill was in the system, but it wasn't in Dad's chart + the only time they'd seen him was in Sept. Ya think!?! She's suppose to be checking and calling me back! Good grief! LOL! Ok, I'm off to start MY day! Hey, it's only 12:30! Jamie, your stories are hilarious! Penis on the felt in your car! LOL! That is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Brings you down to Earth real quick! No use being too prissy with that on your car's liner! LOL! Love you all, Jeanie
