Jerry and I went to LNC this morning.  We got there about 10:45 and they were both in the big room.  Daddy looked really good and he actually , for the most part, talked very good.  He called Jerry and I both by name.  He also said that he knew this place was costing them a lot, but they had 3 meals a day and they took good care of them. He also said that they have a Dr. there in case anyone gets sick.  Pretty clear thinking.  It's sad for me for him to realize where he is, but at the same time, it's good that he thinks they're taken care of.  Anyway, he was very alert and calm and was his usual self.  The nurse said he had been fine, but of course, they always say that.  Mother was pitiful as usual.  It really hurts me to look at her and see her the way she is.  She was such a vibrant person and it's hard to reconcile that this is now her.   All in all, a good visit.  love you, pat
