The doctor should respond about the xray tomorrow. Yes coughing stuff up is definitely what they want and what the breathing treatments are made to do. I don't know about the flu shot but would think they would require it. I've had a flu shot for probably the last 25 years or so and I don't get the flu, just sinus infections periodically.
