Dallas is only about 5 hours from here and I'm not opposed to making more than 1 trip down there to see them. I feel like we need to go as much and as often as we can because my understanding is that they will be there 4 to 8 weeks and this is already 1 down as of today. We probably need to get on it! I could just get in my car and drive on down there but I'd MUCH rather go with someone! When is school out exactly? They may be in Canadian by June but that's not too far either. We'll figure it out. Meanwhile it is raining here yet again today! Katilyn and Amelia started home from college last night around 11:30 p.m. after a meeting and had to turn around and go back to Jeanie's to spend the night! I don't know what I'd do without Jeanie there to be the mother of my granddaughter in my absence!lol I saw Jerome's posting of the street flooding going to the house in Murray, so I know they have the water that I have! We will be begging for a rain before a few months pass though, so bring it on now I guess. Would be great if we could "spread the wealth" around over a few weeks though! Glad Mom and Dad are in a safe place with someone watching them. Can you imagine Mom getting out and leaving their house with THIS weather! Yikes is all I got!!! Love to all, Judy

I've been behind in reading the blog! I didn't realize how far behind...several pages. We have been busy helping Jody move into our rental house next door that Casey had lived in. She had to be out of her other house by Sunday, so I did not get to go see Mom and Dad on Sat. Molli, thank you & Marty so much for going by to see Ona and Randall. Your report was awesome! Judy, I understand that you and Jeanie want to go and visit, but is there anyway you would want to wait until Pat and Jim get out of school? There is no way I could go unless Jim could be here with Matthew. He goes to Guatemala Jun 2-8th, so it would be after that. I understand if you want to go on. That's fine. OMG! Molli, you are precious!!!!!!! I can't tell you how good that makes me feel that you went to see Ona and Randall and were so positive to her! You are amazing! It's nice to have 'eyes and ears' actually there, too, that can report back! I'm just so impressed with you and Marty! What nice kids you are---well, you'll always seem like kids to me! LOL! Good for you! The report was terrific---definitely NOT rambling! We are all so hungry for news about them that it was very welcoming! Thank you so much for being so caring. Molli, you are so precious! Just like your mama! hee hee! Jerry and I went to see Mom and Dad this morning. Mother was asleep in bed and Daddy was in the big room. He acted very confused today and I'm not sure he knew who I was. He did talk some, but most of it I couldn't understand. Nikki said they had both been fine. One of the girls was telling me about their tornado procedure. She said they got all of the patients out of bed and in the halls in 5 minutes. That's pretty fast moving! I was impressed! Not exactly an eventful visit, but it is what it is. Anyway, I've had Addison all afternoon, so I'm pooped! She's adorable though! Judy, I saw on facebook where Logan was sick. Did they find out what's wrong? It's horrible when little kids are sick. Poor Fara, she's got her hands full right now. Been there, done that and it's not fun! You are a natural at this!lol When I first started this blog it was meant for all who had something to say or contribute to get it and speak away, so you're not hacking in at all!!! I'm so glad you got to go to see Ona and Randall and I KNOW she enjoyed your visit as much as you did. I called and talked to her yesterday and she told me that you were coming today. We are planning a trip down in the near future but Jeanie wanted to give them a week or so to get settled in. I know Ona worries about every day and progress, surgery, will he do what they want, will they make him leave, etc. I would worry too but I just know it will all be fine and work out the way it's suppose to. She told me that the goal is for him to go home and that's what we all want for them both. We're lucky to have you as part of this family! You're special!! Love to all, Judy

Hey all! This is Molli! Just to let you know, I read this blog every morning while I have my cereal, but this is the first time I have "hacked" in to post something...I feel like such a rebel. Marty and I went to see Aunt Ona and Uncle Randall today. We ended up staying for almost three hours (it didn't seem like we were there that long)! It was such a good visit, and it was so good to see them...we haven't seen them since our wedding which was four years ago on the 19th! Yikes! Anyway, Aunt Ona looked really good! She seemed to be in really good spirits, and hopefully she enjoyed visiting with us as much as we enjoyed visiting with her. They were in therapy when we got there, so we got to toss a beach ball back and forth to Uncle Randall a few times and then the therapist worked on a few other skills with him as well. Apparently he had already had therapy this morning...they as serious! Uncle Randall looked really good. He was very alert and you could tell he was thinking and processing lots of information. You can definitely tell he has lots of personality, even without him talking. He has lots of facial expression which is so good to see! Aunt Ona is just so sweet. I told Marty you can tell he means the world to her just by the way she looks at him! She is a trooper! She said that she has a small hotel/apartment set up across the street, but she has been staying with him in the room. She talked about the pending surgery, and of course as always with any surgery there is worry, but she seemed to have a very positive outlook about it. I really think it will make a big difference! The surgery will be done at the hospital just across the street...apparently he will go over through a tunnel connecting the buildings and will likely stay the night. I think tomorrow is when the doctors and people working with him have a "pow wow" to discuss progress, plans, and possible discharge dates. She seemed worried about this meeting, but I kept focusing on how it will be so good to have a plan and a goal to reach for! She said for him to stay here he has to demonstrate progress, so it's hard to know he has to do things. Bless her heart...tonight will mark night 285 since she's been home! I told her she will feel like she's moving into a palace when they get home! Anyway, I am so glad we went...we both really enjoyed visiting. I guess she doesn't have internet access, so I tried to share some info from here with her...you can tell she loves and misses you all, and she knows that you are all thinking of her! She told me I remind her of Aunt Pam...what a great compliment for us both. ;-) Anyway, I think Denita and family will be there this coming weekend, and then Howie and his boys are coming the next weekend. I left her my cell phone number and told her to call if she needed anything and we could be there within the hour. Sorry if I rambled...I'm new at this blogging business! Hope to see you all soon. Jeanie I don't think there is anything else they are watching for but I guess a UTI is always a possibility at any time. She did say that the "wound" is almost completely healed. They removed his cathether and was going to use an external one but he was allergic to the rubber material and had to go back to a regular cath. At one point this will come out because they are working with him on bladder and bowel control. I too felt much better after talking to her because she was doing fine with the whole thing. When he had the CT scan, she said she told the doctor she didn't want to know if there was anything wrong because she wanted to bury her head in the sand---sound familiar????lol She definitely has our DNA! I have had the horrible ghost pains now for 36 hours and I'm literally at the screaming level! I took 7 Neurotin yesterday when I normally take 3! Leisa said it won't hurt and you can't overdose on it! Good thing! I couldn't even tell I had taken anything! I did have a couple of hours of relieve yesterday afternoon and took a shower and got my jams on, settled into my chair and BOOM--I'm back!!!!GRRRRRRRR! I did finally sleep last night though and every time they stabbed me, I told myself "work through the pain" and ended up with several hours of sleep at least! I'm off to get ready for church--surely God won't have me stabbed in church!!!lol Love to all, Judy
